Teddy Bear Puppies are Also known as Shichon Puppies

Shichons are "soft" and sensitive dogs, sometimes hypersensitive. If you touch them unexpectedly or startle them with a sudden loud sound, they tend to flinch or begin to bark if they are startled.

So please remember this is a very need breed that needs reassurance and wants to be with their families at ALL TIMES to make them feel secure.

They often are considered a YAPPY MIX BREED and very NEEDY!

Because of the Bichon in the Shichon they are related to Toy Poodles  and POODLES can get emotionally upset if there's too much activity or conflict or roughhousing in your household . They also do not always do great around strangers and can become very protective.

You do have to watch where you get a Shichon puppy from as some of the lines behind the Bichon are too high-strung and nervous, and this is where you'll find those neurotic Shichons  that people and families are not happy with as the puppy begins to show its personality.

However, Shichon puppies  are  not for all children. Some Shichons  are such gentle souls they are overwhelmed by the roughhousing and mischief of small children, while others simply won't put up with it and can be a bit nippy.

So please make sure you do your research on the Shichon breed before you adopt one to make sure you are ready for a Shichon
